When you come in for your check-up every six months, we will start with a cleaning to remove built-up plaque and tartar. While brushing at home is the crux of preventative care, some food particles and bacteria need a professional’s tools and skills to remove. When the dentist examines your mouth during the check-up portion of your visit, they will utilize the latest technology, including digital X-rays, to make sure they have a thorough picture of your oral health.
