With spring time finally here, you’ll find Olathe, KS, is host to a number of fun events and activities. In today’s blog, we’re going to focus on these events and talk about four community activities you and your family can take part in. Community Events
- Day Out With Frank and Ella: Enjoy a Day Out With Frank and Ella at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm at 1200 East Kansas City Road. Learn how people lived and played in the 1860s. Admission is $5 for youths, and kids 18 and under need to accompanied by a parent or guardian. Admission includes on stagecoach ride. Additional adults are $5 and kids 4 and under are free.
- Helmet Head Bike Rodeo: To encourage safety, the Fire Department is handing out free bike helmets (while supplies last) to children on Sunday, May 5th from 11am until 2pm. The free helmets are for children ages 15 and younger, and parents must accompany a child. The event will take place a the Olathe Medical Center Cancer Center parking lot on 15123 South OMC Parkway.
- Family Fun Fest: The Medical Center will be hosting a Family Fun Fest at the Olathe Health Cancer Center on Sunday, May 5th. The event will take place at 15123 South OMC Parkway at the Olathe Medical Center Cancer Center. There will be activities for the entire family, as well as health information and free screenings.
- Sewing Workshop: Learn to sew at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm on 1200 East Kansas City Road from 7pm until 8:30pm. Admission is $5 per participant and all materials will be provided. Learn how to make clothing in the style of the 1860s!
