Trilogy Cultural Arts School of Dance presents Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland in a live version full of dance. The show opens on a scene with Alice reading in the garden where Alice sees the White Rabbit scurry down a rabbit hole and decides to follow him. Alice finds herself in Wonderland where she meets an assortment of strange characters, including the Cheshire Cat. She attends a tea party thrown by the March Hare and the Mad Hatter. She finds herself in the garden of the Queen of Hearts, where Alice is called upon to testify against a tart thief. The book’s story has held up especially well over a century and a half with many adaptations in the forms of film, television, plays, and dance productions. The main character, Alice, is witty, inquisitive, and confident, which is surprising for the Victorian era in which she was written. The production is appropriate for the entire family. It is brought to life with fantastical sets, costumes, and choreography. Trilogy Cultural Arts Centre offers the largest variety of performing arts in the area with classes available in dance, voice, acting, stunts, and more. The centre also provides day camps, overnight camps, and summer camps for kids of all ages in the Kansas City area. This summer, there are camps like the High School Musical camp and Mulan, Jr. still registering for children to attend.
