- Every weekday, the Lenexa Rec Center hosts Splash With Me, where kids can swim and play in the indoor kiddie pool. Adult supervision is required for all kids attending.
- National Museum of Toys and Miniatures is hosting a Farewell to Summer Free Day on August 18th. The admission will be free with a scavenger hunt type activity to find objects lost through an unstable time portal (the theme of the day).
- Parkville Days are this weekend in Parkville, MO. The annual Parkville Days festival features entertainment and fun activities for the whole family. The Evans Midland Empire Carnival is here along with live music, games, food, and lots of fun. Participating shops in the downtown area will have End of Summer sidewalk sales and specials. Bring your lawn chairs to relax in the park!
- This weekend, the Kansas City Zoo has the Melon Summer Smash! Watch as the animals around the zoo each get to smash, stomp, and enjoy delicious fruit. Different animals will have different scheduled times throughout the day for you to see them all smash melons!
