Upcoming Springtime Events
- Saturday, April 7th is Girl Scout Day at the Kansas City Zoo. Girl Scouts who wear their uniforms to the zoo will receive FREE admission and the families who are accompanying them will receive a reduced admission of just $7. Throughout the day, Girls Scouts can participate in activity stations in the lobby from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first 200 Girl Scouts to arrive will receive a limited edition Kansas City Zoo patch.
- Wednesday, April 11th is a free Empowering Seniors Round Robin event at the Matt Ross Community Center in Overland Park. There will be several tables for seniors to visit and discuss with experts. The tables include AgeWise, which will help assist seniors and families discuss care issues and planning for transitions, Functional Home Living, which will empower seniors to meet and exceed the design challenges at home, Kindred At Home, which provides home health nursing, therapy services, social works, and bath aides, Schroeder Larsen Law, P.A. to help seniors with legal needs and estate planning, and Soundscaping Source, who provide home music therapy and music lessons for older adults.
