Community Events

  1. Spring Break Living History: The Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm will be hosting a Spring Break Living History Event on Match 14th from 10am until 4pm at 1200 East Kansas City Road. You and your family can enjoy cookstove and blacksmith demonstrations, take a stagecoach ride, and visit the historic Mahaffie House. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5 to 11. Residents of Olathe get $2 off admission.
  2. Olathe BBQ Championship: The Olathe BBQ Championship takes place from March 15th through the 16th at Stagecoach Park on 1205 East Kansas City Road. The championship will be presented by The Kansas City BBQ Store and the American Barbecue Systems. More than 50 teams will compete to see who can cook the best BBQ. A delicious event perfect for the entire family to enjoy!
  3. Olathe Cornhole Championship: Check out the Olathe Cornhole Championship on March 15th from 6pm until 9pm at the Stagecoach Park on 1205 East Kansas City Road. The Championship will be presented by Grass Pad. 16 teams will compete on the Great Lawn. Check-in starts at 5:15pm and the tournament begins at 6pm. Entry is $20 per team and cash prizes are available. You must be 18 and up to participate. There will be televised games to watch, and beer and alcoholic drinks for participants 21 and up.
