December starts tomorrow and with that the holidays are certainly upon us. Events This Weekend
- Celebrate Olathe is tonight! It features the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:15 p.m. with Mayor Michael Copeland and Fox 4 Meteorologist Joe Lauria. The evening will feature live music by the Olathe Civic Band, the Special Pops Choir, and choirs from Olathe Public Schools. Santa, Mrs. Clause, and elves will be meeting and greeting throughout the event. There will also be interactive activities where you can decorate cookies or get your face painted. There will also be food trucks, a photo booth, and concessions.
- Winter Fest has begun at Kansas City’s Worlds of Fun amusement park. The park transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland with lights to see and plenty of fun to be had. Select rides and attractions will be open, but there will plenty of additional things to do (like ice skating!).
- Enjoy a Luminary Walk through Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Overland Park, KS. Thousands of candles and lights will be displayed throughout the gardens to make for a wonderful way to enjoy the festive spirit.
