Halloween is just around the corner and already there are lots of fun, spooky things for the whole family to enjoy in and near Olathe, Kansas! Whether you opt for the boos and frights or you just want to stick with fall pumpkins, we have a list of fun things to do this week! October is also a great time of year to consider using the rest of your dental insurance benefits. If you are unsure about your coverage or if you know you do not have any, talk to us about your questions regarding financing.

This Week’s Fun!

  1. Haunted Kansas at Ernie Miller Park is on October 20th in Olathe, Kansas. This event will feature spooky tales told around a camp fire. The event is held outdoors, but in the case of inclement weather, it will move inside.
  2. Independence, MO is the home of Boo Town! Head to the Puppetry Arts Institute to see goblins,  ghosts, and other creatures take the stage in a variety show spook-tacular! Seating is limited, so be sure to reserve a seat before you head out!
  3. The Kansas City Zoo will be hosting Hoots & Howls during the month of October. Throughout the month, kids can ride a pedal tractor to navigate a hay bale maze, singalong with a live DJ, families can take a hayride around the zoo or watch some of the animals smash some pumpkins!
  4. While Hoots & Howls ends this weekend at the zoo, the following weekend will feature Boo at the Zoo! Children can trick-or-treat throughout the zoo while enjoying not-so-spooky Halloween decorations at most of the exhibits!
