This weekend is the first weekend of October! Fall is a beautiful time of year in Olathe, Kansas. The weather is wonderful, pumpkins are out, and fun is in the air! Fun This Week
- Mahaffie Stagecoach Park is hosting a free movie in the park on Friday, October 5th at 7:30 p.m.. The movie that will be screened has not yet been decided because they are taking suggestions and votes on their Facebook page. Head over to the page to let your voice be heard! Head to the park on Friday to enjoy a free movie, free popcorn, and drinks!
- Starting this weekend, the Kansas City Zoo will be hosting Hoots & Howls on some weekends in October. Kids can ride around on a pedal tractor trying to navigate a hay bale maze. There will be a sing-along with a DJ. There will also be a hayride around the Zoo and you can watch the animals smashing pumpkins in their exhibits!
- In nearby Lee’s Summit, MO, the Missouri Town 1855 Fall Festival is going on this weekend! Feel a bit of what it felt like to live during the 1850s with period music, games, foods, and hay rides! There will be vendors and artisans, too!
