Upcoming Events
- On February 2nd, the Olathe Community Center is hosting a Daddy Daugher Dance from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The daughters and fathers get to dress up for a night of dancing, refreshments, complimentary photos, and other fun surprises. Olathe Hy-Vee on 151st is sponsoring the event. Registration online or by phone is required as there is limited space for this event.
- On Saturday, February 10th, the Mahaffie Stagecoach and Farm is hosting the Mahaffie Dinners. The next event on January 27th is actually already sold out, but online registration for the February event is still open. You can eat with your friends and family in the stagecoach dinging room of the historic farmhouse. The historical interpreters will be wearing 1860s clothing to host the event. The meal will feature historically accurate stewed beef, green beans, mashed potatoes, breads, and other winter preserves. After the meal, there will be a chance to visit with the animals of the farm, play games in the parlor, and then end the night with fresh pound cake and farm-fresh whipped cream. The cost of the event is $49 per person and there is a limited amount of 14 total participants per dinner.
- On February 24th, the Mahaffie Stagecoach and Farm is hosting Pancakes with the Presidents to celebrate President’s Day. There will be impersonators of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln to meet and interact with during the breakfast. There will be crafts and opportunities to take your photos with the presidents. All ages are welcome to the event and the cost is $8 per person.
