To celebrate our special community, we would like to highlight some events that are going on in the area. Most of these events begin this weekend right after the Thanksgiving holiday. We also want to wish the warmest and happiest Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Community Events
- Celebrate Olathe: On the first day of December, Celebrate Olathe and the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lightning both happen for your enjoyment. You can see Santa Claus, Joey the Elf, and the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting to kick off the holiday season. The event takes place starting at 6 pm through 8:30pm at 1205 East Kansas City Road.
- Breakfast With Santa: Starting on November 25th, which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm will be hosting Breakfast with Santa on every Saturday from 8:30 am until 10 am. The farm is located at 1200 East Kansas City Road. Admission is $8 for kids over the age of 3 and admission includes one photo with Santa. There will be breakfast, ornament making, and more for your family to enjoy! The event is limited to the first 100 guests, so be sure to register beforehand.
- 1860s Living History: If you intend to skip the shopping on Black Friday, you can go back to a simpler time. This event is also at Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm (1200 East Kansas City Road). There are stagecoach rides, blacksmith demonstrations, and more interactive fun. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children between the ages of 5 and 11. Olathe residents get $2 off admission!
