Free Movie In The Park

October 12, 2017

Looking for something to do with the family this Friday the 13th? Well, there are free movies in the park at Stagecoach Park! This week the free movie is Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. The 2001 film is kicked off the world-phenomenon movie series based on the hit series of books by J.K. Rowling. The plot follows Harry Potter who turns 11-years-old and learns that he is a wizard. His journey takes him to the wizarding school of Hogwarts, where adventure and friendship find him. The movie is rated PG due to some scary moments and mild language. The movie will start as the sun goes down to give the best viewing experience in the dark. The weather will be perfect for watching a movie outside, but you may want to bring light jackets or blankets. You can bring blankets to sit on or lawn chairs. Free drinks and free popcorn will be provided to give you and your family the full movie-going experience. Free drinks and popcorn will only be provided while supplies last. Stagecoach Park used to be the home of the Olathe Country Club in the early 1920s. The city of Olathe bought the land to become a community park in 1997. The park includes an amphitheater, a playground, and a 4.75 acre pond for fishing.
